Ferrous metals are the industrial term for iron, chromium, and manganese, and also include alloys of these three metals. In fact, pure iron and chromium are silver-white, while manganese is silver-gray. However, the surface of pure iron is covered with a black oxide film: iron(II,III) oxide (Fe₃O₄). It is precisely because of this oxide film that pure iron leaves people with a black impression. So, how can the black oxide film on the surface of pure iron be removed to reveal its silver-white metallic luster? Their working principle involves placing a specified amount of pure iron blocks into the cleaning chamber, closing the door, and starting the machine. The pure iron blocks are driven by rollers and begin to tumble.
